Who We Are
The Dream Makers Ripple Effect Foundation is a private 501C3 charity whose sole purpose is to share acts of kindness intended to heal heartache, uplift broken spirits, meet a disabling need, and restore hope to a seemingly hopeless situation. The primary goal is to initiate and empower a ripple effect within our community - a force so impactful the world around us is inspired to also sow hope and healing - one heart at a time.
We believe one simple act has the power to ripple an impact spanning millions across this great nation! Instilling hope into the hearts of those who have become recently disabled, taken over by illness, or experienced the tragic loss of a loved one that has left a financial burden on the family - we are the Dream Makers Ripple Effect Foundation.
Founded by Dustin & Ashley Colie in December 2021, the Foundation believes in a brighter tomorrow for those that will it. The only way to change the world is through one act of kindness at a time, encouraging those effected by it to continue the “ripple”, thus creating a widespread generational impact.

Our First Ripple Recipient
Natalie became a Dream Makers Life Insurance client when she purchased a Children’s policy in February 2020 on her 2-year-old son. Upon a review of the policy, we found out the little boy, now 3, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare aggressive childhood cancer. To make matters worse, Natalie had been out of work on FMLA and had no income.
That's when The Dream Makers Ripple Effect Foundation stepped in to help! After a careful assessment of the family's most immediate financial needs, the Foundation team decided that Christmas 2021 for this family would be completely covered, in addition to clothes and any other essentials needed, for the entire family!
The DMREF continues to bless other families enduring major hardships in the community by building relationships with them and meeting their specific needs. As the Foundation's slogan goes - One Act of Kindness, Immeasurable Impact!

Qualifications :
Must be a current high school Senior in the New Hanover or Pender School Systems Public or Private
Participation in a club, school program, sport, or other extracurricular activity.
Must already have an Acceptance Letter from a qualified College/University with an enrollment into their 2024 school year
Hold a minimum 3.0 GPA
